Outdoor facility, terrace roofing - fixed roof or awning?

Is this the only terrace space or one for the bedroom users? I would rather not have family and guests in front of my bedroom, and nocturnal teenagers like owls definitely not.

That is the only spot for now, but we are planning a garden house with a barbecue area in another corner of the garden.

I am an absolute supporter of louvered roofs, even if they are expensive. Once you have sat under something like that and can adjust the louvers individually, you won't want anything else anymore.

If you are not pressed for time, ask for display models in showrooms or at trade fairs.
You can also combine a louvered roof with a large sunshade so that you don't have to cover the full 7 meters. Or you can additionally place a beautiful, already mature tree that then shades the rest.

I am the opposite... Unfortunately, I don't find [Lamellendächer] pretty at all, and sitting under them, well. Under a glass roof with an extended awning, you have much nicer light and still shade. I would always prefer the latter.
