Hello,

Why is a corner bench a must, and why do you think that a closed kitchen is more practical for everyday use?

And what is the huge, open area at the bottom right for? Do you want to practice the Viennese waltz there? :)

We would simply like to have a bench at the dining area. If possible, even a corner bench. By the way, the table should be 160-200cm long.

Currently, we have a closed kitchen in our apartment and I find that quite practical. When sitting in front of the TV, I don’t want to hear all the kitchen noise. The smells don’t spread as much and nobody can watch me cook. I am aware that an open kitchen would be nicer, but I don’t feel completely comfortable with it.

The free space in the bottom right is indeed a “problem.” 33m2 for a dining/living room is not that small, so you should be able to make something decent and meaningful out of it. A fireplace is supposed to go in the bottom right corner, but not too bulky. If we implement the floor plan like that, in the next few years the free space would probably be where the small children’s toys lie on a carpet. Later maybe a nice recliner. But that doesn’t really excite me either.

So, I am a fan of open kitchens. If you don't like it (mess or something, odors don't count as an argument for me), then I will show you a variant here (my old end-terrace house). The house was built with a closed kitchen, we made the breakthrough back then. Variant: set the counter, that is the wall, a bit higher as a privacy screen.

I hope they are big enough to get an impression – unfortunately, I don't have any larger on this computer, as they were taken from a sales brochure (sorry for the link ).

A tip about the program: the program is the "successor" of Arcon. If you remove the grid, you can also place the elements more freely; otherwise, they are caught by the grid points (see the chimney). In addition, I would put a double door to the outside on the long side.

Is it being built with a basement?

We have a similar floor plan. What is recommended: a bay window for the corner bench. It's a hit with us. This way, the dining table disappears from the middle of the room.
