Hello,

we are also slowly entering the phase of rating the first drafts as good, improvable, or bad.
We would also like to hear your opinion.

Attached is the draft of our bungalow. A pantry will still be added directly to the kitchen. The windows are also not yet in place. Otherwise, we like the layout of the rooms.

We are curious...

Wishing you already a nice Pentecost holiday!

Nice idea with the light in the hallway, and I also personally like the "sleeping wing" idea, but the consequence is nearly 15sqm of hallway tube.

I would at least assign the left tube to the study.

Where is the pantry supposed to go? Will it be attached or should it be included in the area?
In the kitchen, I would reduce the entrance area; it doesn't add anything to the kitchen but takes space from the living area, which could be better assigned to the dining area.

Personally, I like the style with an open living section and an attached sleeping corridor.

I can also well imagine the corridor with the terrace doors if different dimensions – namely larger ;) – are used. A nice courtyard would emerge on the left by the shed... etc... But here we probably only have a narrow common corridor about 1?? meters wide?
And I fully agree with toxicmolotow’s opinion! We don’t have a 2-meter-wide corridor here that can’t be furnished (prison character?). The only thing highlighted here is the outdoor area in line with the door, but for that, the living space would be too precious for me. The rooms are not very spacious anyway, rather a bit small with just about 11 sqm for a child.
Therefore, with this bungalow variant, I would place the study between the children’s rooms and shorten the ends of the corridors, allocating the gained living area to the children.
Maybe also mix the rooms fundamentally differently, e.g., swap bedroom and study and distribute the rest among the children. Actually, this should reduce corridor space even more :)

How many sqm do you have in total? Is the "compact" small construction and the bungalow based on the floor area ratio/building plan or the budget??? -> Why a bungalow? It can’t be for barrier-free access, as the house is definitely not that.

Hello,

basically a nice plan.

If it were my house, I would consider the following adjustments:

- add the left "corridor stub" to the office – this "traffic area" would be more important to me in a room

- completely remove the wall between the kitchen and living-dining area – it feels very tight and cramped – better invest the money in a better extractor hood. This also eliminates the problem that you might run into the door to the entrance area when coming out of the kitchen.

- install the bathtub as a corner bathtub or a "normal" bathtub as a corner installation. This gives you more "visual" freedom of movement in the bathroom.

Regards,

Dirk

An interesting design. The entrance area does not support zoning, which causes the living room to become a passage room. Unfortunately, its furnished representation is missing here, which is urgently needed to assess the effect and possible negative influence as a passage room.

In all rooms it is noticeable that they are narrowly designed, and the accesses in the room corners are rarely efficient. Also, considering the room program, the choice of the bungalow should be reconsidered; with a 1.5 or 2-story building, you get more space for the same money.

Thank you for the response! Ultimately, the office is just a secondary bedroom, so the size there will be sufficient. Of course, we would prefer the kids' rooms to be larger. We'll see what the next draft brings. The pantry will still be attached to the kitchen, making it a bit bigger. We would like to have a small seating area there so we don't always have to carry everything into the living-dining area when things need to be done quickly. The bright hallway is great, even if it represents dead space. Thank you very much for your suggestions. I will definitely get back to you with the next draft.
