Opinion on the floor plan / Two points that need improvement

Yes, that's right, regarding the area of the corridors, this is a drawing from a developer that has already been changed 4 times. I will therefore bother the developer again, since it is not yet decided with whom I will build and this developer may be doing the work for nothing, I always feel guilty about it.

How should the ownership be divided? If only you build a house with a separate apartment, of course you have all the planning authority, otherwise your nephew should also be allowed to plan as a co-owner. Upstairs, I would shorten the end of the hallway and add the square meters to the kitchen and the bedroom. Two bathrooms should be enough for both residential units. A hallway is definitely too much on the ground floor. Make one entrance for both (that is the compromise), a hallway from which the stairs and the entrance to the ground floor apartment lead.

Thank you for the comment, yes I am still working on it. The house belongs to me alone but of course I also want to rent a nice apartment to my nephew. However, I discuss all the details with him so that he might possibly buy the house later.

Are you building the house for yourself or for him?

Actually for both of us. Now we (my husband and I) live in a smaller town, but I would like to move to Hamburg and since our children do not live in Germany, I would like to have someone from the family in the house later when we are older.

Just so you know: How much is the house (and property) supposed to cost? (and is the possibly necessary financing already arranged?)
