I wouldn't even know what "weißeln" is, but otherwise everything has been said.

Not your problem, since you have no contractual relationship with the new tenant...

Just out of curiosity, how did things turn out?

I also find it more than interesting that the new tenant thinks they can make claims against you, even though there is obviously a handover report without any complaints...

There are strange people...;)

Hi,
just a quick question for clarification:

From my point of view, it doesn’t really matter what is available, whether there are complaints or not. The old tenant handed over the apartment to the landlord, and that’s that. Even if there had been complaints, that is initially something to be resolved between those two parties.
The landlord could “pass on” wishes or complaints (like “Why don’t you talk to the old tenant...”), but does that have any legal relevance for the relationship between new/old tenant? (I understand the landlord accepted everything and received the apartment without defects)

Probably the simplest explanation for that.

That's how it is.

The only contracting party the OP has here is his former landlord. And with the complaint-free handover protocol, everything is settled.

One could simply ask the new tenant on what legal basis he claims to have any rights against the former tenant.

The answer could be quite amusing... :D

What bothers the new tenant he has to clarify exclusively with the landlord. His "wishes" can be as irrelevant to the former tenant as the famous fallen sack of rice in China...

Regards,

Dirk

The new tenant contacted after 2 weeks? Well, as I said, you don't need to worry anymore... just enjoy your new apartment :)

So, everything clarified. We have spoken. I left the remaining paint bucket. This way the new tenant can partially paint again according to their wishes. Everything settled. Thanks again! The old apartment would now be locked.
