The same applies to the financing, by the way

In Bieber's list, in my opinion, a term life insurance covering the loan amount is missing (or half each if double earners).

IMO equally important as disability insurance, where at least there is some small statutory protection.

Right, I simply forgot! Detail: It may not be necessary to insure the entire loan amount; it can be considered sufficient if the surviving spouse can simply continue to live normally for five years [sprich: Annuitäten Leisten kann]. Ultimately, everyone must decide for themselves what is existential and how far the coverage should go (and how much they are willing to pay for it).

We will probably each do 1/2, the rest should be manageable by the survivor alone. If both of us go, at least the children will have a debt-free house. It will probably cost about 5€ per person per month (with linearly decreasing coverage amount).

Does anyone have a tip on where/how I can compare builders' liability insurance?

I was on two portals without really getting anywhere. The first one wanted the postal code, construction costs, personal contributions, living area, etc... What difference does that make if the curious neighbor falls into my basement hole? I guess it's because this portal only showed packages of several insurances, but I want to look exclusively for builders' liability insurance first.

The second portal generalized the search for builders' liability to liability insurance, then asks about age, single or family, etc. The whole construction topic gets completely lost here.

It can't be that hard – or so I thought.

Did you take out the builders' liability insurance online or commissioned a trusted insurance agent? We still have some time with construction work and fire-proof shell, but we wanted to get the builders' liability insurance quickly and, if possible, online.

Thanks for your support!
