Hello everyone,

I am new here and I am interested in a review of the OMNEJD range hood. Has anyone installed it yet, what is the noise level at the lowest setting, or in general?

I would actually prefer a higher quality range hood, but unfortunately we like the look, as well as the storage compartment and the bars for hanging the dish towel too much...

Higher quality? That thing already costs 600€...

Since the noise level is specified on the same level as the other models, I would assume that thing is "normal volume."

Price-wise, the Omnejd is already TOP, a Bosch DIB097A50 range hood has significantly better performance data and costs the same. Or are there visually similar branded devices to the OMNEJD or FÖLJANDE hood?

Exhaust air or recirculation, if recirculation I would include the cost of the carbon filters in your decision, as opinions sometimes differ on what manufacturers charge for them.

Exhaust air / dB / m³
1/ 43.7 / 217
2/ 49 / 305
3/ 65.1 / 622

Recirculation / dB / m³
1/ 56.2 / 214
2/ 62.6 / 287
3/ 70.9 / 415

Exhaust air performance is specified by Ikea according to EN61591, i.e. 1.5 m hose (max. diameter) including a 90° bend.

If possible, I want to do exhaust air, which is not so easy with an island... Exhaust air should also be quieter.

BOSCH DIB097A50

Noise min./max. normal level: 43/54 dB*

Fan performance for exhaust air operation according to EN 61591: Max. normal level 460 m³/h, intensive level 730 m³/h

Noise values according to EN 60704-3 and EN 60704-2-13 for exhaust air operation: Max. normal level: 54 dB(A) re 1 pW (40 dB(A) re 20 µPa sound pressure) Intensive level: 64 dB(A) re 1 pW (50 dB(A) re 20 µPa sound pressure)

That means, according to the data, the BOSCH is still quieter, or is the difference not really audible? A difference of 10 dB is about twice the volume.

Then take the Bosch, depending on the kitchen layout, duct cross-section. Direction changes should still reach about ~ 490-500 m³ at the wall box with the Bosch.

If you have an energy-saving standard, there are restrictions on exhaust air up to not possible at all, you should clarify that if it has not been done yet.
