Old Ikea article number 201.386.00

Hello We have some chairs from Ikea but there is no name on them (what the chair is called) we only have the old article number 201.386.00 who could help us and tell us what this chair is called, as we want to try to find 2 or 3 more of these chairs on the internet we would be grateful for any information

Just have a look at the [Ikeamuseum] website. There you can find all the old catalogs (in Swedish). Maybe the chair is included.

Have you already tried directly at Ikea, for example via the chat? They will surely be able to check what the model was called back then.

It was also occasionally available on ebay Kleinanzeigen, unfortunately never with a name :-(
But since they apparently date from the 1960s, I'm not surprised. They look comfortable ;-)

Small consolation if you can no longer find a suitable copy: sets usually look a bit silly and student-like. A well-chosen different model is usually the nicer choice. At least that's what I think. So I don't think you can go wrong.

The model is according to the OP from Ikea, perhaps inspired by the set from the 1960s? With the image search you can also find the OP’s listing on Classifieds. There he writes that the chairs are from 1999. However, I couldn’t find them in the Ikea catalogs from 1998/99 or the years before or after. But I did find plenty of interesting rediscoveries of furniture from that time, thanks for the tip about the Ikea museum, ! It’s like a time travel. Very interesting how long some furniture has existed, which you had almost forgotten, and what was popular back then in interior design and the accompanying advertising.
