Who laid the tiles? Does the mortar have contact with the walls?

An acquaintance also once had the problem with extreme sound transmission in a semi-detached house. It was apparently - if I remember correctly - due to the floor slab, which was not properly constructed. That could no longer be changed.

I can't say for sure, but it looks very clean. I also can't say 100% if they have contact with the wall.

The fact that nothing can probably be done about the sound transmission is now also my thought. That is why the only solution is probably to look for something new. I would have liked to have saved the money spent on living there for 2 months.

That explains the transmission of impact sound and the like, but not overhearing conversations. Either the original poster has exceptionally sharp ears or the partition wall simply isn't very soundproof (aerated concrete, unfilled Poroton?). But as I already mentioned in my first post, there will be no solution for all this except moving out. The partition wall could be lined from the inside. However, the landlord's interest in doing that is likely limited, especially since the neighbors don't perceive it as a problem.

That could be the reason! It’s not without reason that there is floating screed and that everything is laid floating. Often, it is DIY work done amateurishly that is to blame. But it could also be the mentioned floor slab. When a house is built just for rental purposes, people tend to focus on costs and possibly save on good execution.
