New Outdoor Staircase / Granite Ideas

Hello everyone,
I would like to redesign my exterior stairs. As a first idea, I was thinking of granite. However, the initial rough cost estimates are quite high, and I am wondering if there might be alternatives that I haven't considered yet. We would like dark stone, towards anthracite, slightly rough and, if possible, low-maintenance. Are there any other options that come to mind spontaneously for designing the stairs? Thank you

Granite stones 17/19. In between, normal paving stones in anthracite. The anthracite paving stones cost 10€/sqm standard. Paving bricks look visually more high-quality and are 30€/sqm. Outside, one could also install granite palisades. The palisades are 12x12. Priced at about 10€/piece. A few pictures attached.

Cleaning would work wonders if it were done by a company specialized in it, you would be amazed how beautiful it would be again.

Otherwise the stepping sequence, doesn't it annoy you, one step then 2 steps back again?

We took over the house at the beginning of this year and I don't find these exposed aggregate concrete slabs attractive, even if they were cleaned. The layout of the steps is certainly not optimal either, I agree with you. That would also be something to possibly tackle if it’s not too complicated. I spoke with a construction company the other day, they wanted to take a look, maybe something can be done about the layout.

Our staircase is similar. In terms of size and length, we had it concreted and next week the granite is finally coming. For this staircase size, you can easily expect 15-18 euros if you have it done.
