I found the answer a bit exaggerated and over the top. I didn't find it that factual. But of course, I am also curious about the outcome of the project.

Me too. I have tried to plan the described table.

Exactly... This is catastrophically planned. Regardless of whether an (interior) architect team was involved here or a builder tried it themselves. It is not only tight but too tight to fit. It doesn't work with the chairs, let alone a passage...

Are the chairs even to scale?

Should be to scale. The chairs mentioned have a depth of 60cm. 60cm * 2 + 90cm table width = 210cm, plus a little extra space. This dining area can't really be much wider due to the measurements. I checked: the kitchen island to the sliding glass door on the right side should be about 250cm. That means you have a whole 20cm per chair to move back. Amazing!

Thank you very much for the sympathetic and warning hints *laugh* But don’t worry - the table fits in there and the dressing room is also large enough for our needs. Of course, the project is eccentric, but it’s allowed to be. Regarding the settler house character: Typical for the settler houses in the region is the square extension and the adjoining cuboid – the house therefore has exactly the same dimensions as the - original DH - to which it will be attached.
