We have built a solid single-family house with a heat pump. We moved in on 01.09. of this year. I am very worried about our heat pump because it has consumed 1500 kW in just two months. Today it is almost 200 kW higher again. September and October were also unusually mild, only two days were colder with ground frost. The heating engineer as well as the construction company consider it appropriate; I do not need to address them again. I have read up on how such heat pumps work. I looked at the energy consumption of my pump more closely (see photo) and found that the highest consumption is attributable to the auxiliary heater - 1288 kW. What do you think about this? Is something wrong with the settings? Is the compressor not working efficiently? Should the auxiliary heater not only switch on at significantly lower temperatures? The heat pump is an air/water Logatherm WPLS 8kW from the company Buderus. Thank you very much for your opinions.
