New construction: Cubic/Modular/Container houses

Hello forum,

we are currently looking for a building plot and would like to build a house or order a prefabricated house. Options like log houses (which can then be expanded/insulated/etc.) would also be conceivable for us – the main thing is modern. It should preferably lean towards a lot of wood/glass/possibly concrete.
My questions about this:

[*]What are your experiences with such houses?
[*]Are modular construction methods or log holiday homes that can be expanded conceivable?
[*]What costs usually arise? (Our desired size is between 80 and 150 sqm)
[*]Do you know good providers of such houses?

Do you mean something like a Meisterstück house in skeleton construction or Fullwood?

I really like the houses in [Skelettbauweise]. It should go in the direction of cube, flat roof, many windows. For example, I find the construction style of the company [CUBIG] good, although with about 80 sqm and nearly €200,000 quite steep.

About two years ago, we had someone here who wanted to build a Combi-Box house, or also here or here similar ideas, which however are mostly designed in steel. In timber frame construction, ibs. the Fachwerkhaus 2000 by Huf has probably shaped the ideas of entire generations. "Steep prices" will regularly be encountered by you even where concepts are designed for mobile homes / tiny houses etc., because when linearly scaled up to floor sizes of normal houses, astronomical dimensions are usually reached.
