Hey,

if I want to get network sockets, is there anything special I need to pay attention to?

On the big marketplace with 4 letters, prices start at a few euros each.

What is the difference between a 6€ socket or a 15€ socket or something in between?
I also saw that there are sockets where you punch down the cable directly, and others where you punch down into the keystone thing and then it’s inserted into the socket module...

Thanks!

Yes, cat 6 is usually enough, you just need to pay attention to your switch program.

I read Cat 6a there partially. Ultimately, I am only ordering the insert. Or rather, if it says that this is compatible with [Jung, Busch & Jäger], am I on the safe side with this?

There are basically 2 versions. One is cable laying on LSA insulation displacement connectors and the other version is Keystone. So far, I have only done LSA, but depending on the space conditions, it can be quite nerve-wracking. If something comes up again, then only Keystone. With Keystone, you have to make sure that it fits into the flush-mounted box.

Please don't buy the cheapest boxes, but at least in the mid-range segment. Just enter "Kabelscheune" in the big search engine. I find they have quite decent stuff at reasonable prices.

From my experience, the cheap offers for the household as CAT6 / CAT7 are completely sufficient. The brands are more expensive than necessary, they just sell their design and make a profit with special items.

Can you put a frame from the socket onto the network socket and then only put the matching middle cover on it, or are these completely different frames?
