Hello :)

*Offtopic*
Our house will be ready for move-in on June 1st. Since we built it turnkey and I usually work during regular construction hours (when the companies are active), I don’t always have the opportunity to check everything myself.

Since we are now eagerly anticipating the move and the garage was delivered today, I took the afternoon off to follow the spectacle myself (narrow street, 9-meter garage – amazing how a truck can turn in such tight spaces :))

*End of Offtopic*
I used the surveying time to go through all the rooms – and in doing so, I noticed that the double RJ45 sockets (2 outputs) were unfortunately not fully installed. Only single sockets were delivered here. In the electrical selection, only one socket is listed, but I interpreted this to mean that the double outputs did not have to be documented. (I don’t build a house every day, unfortunately!)
The construction manager confirmed the defect to me; he himself had forgotten to inform the electrician that doubles were ordered. Since the network cables can no longer be pulled in, the defect remains.

We paid 800€ for 5 double network sockets with handover point including distributor (which doesn’t cost 20€).

What do you consider a reasonable compensation, since defect remediation is no longer possible? The double sockets do have their purpose.

Why I’m asking at all: We had the washbasin including mixer tap (Grohe Eurosmart Cosmopolitan) deducted with installation. We are supposed to get a credit of 88€. In my opinion, this does not correspond to the cost of materials and effort.

I know I can’t get millions :)

Thank you very much and have a nice weekend :)

Since I can no longer edit the thread: It was €975 for 5 NW sockets

If cat6 cables have been installed, you could connect to 2x100 MB.

This credit for the sink is really a joke, alternatively you install it and sell it :-)
We left out all fittings and sinks + toilets for 2 bathrooms because we didn't like them, for which we were credited 4000 euros.

The credit confirmation only came today - the site manager has been informed about it. Let's see what he thinks about it, since another lady is handling the billing.. In my opinion, the installation alone takes an hour - what does a craftsman's hour cost nowadays?

There is a reason why 2x Cat7 is installed. I am in the industry myself, everything had its purpose - you don't build a house for 10 years but for eternity - who knows what tomorrow will bring. After all, 100Mbit from Telekom are available - an increase is currently not excluded :)

The credit for 1x cat instead of 2 cables should cover the full cost of the LAN installation. Then you buy a switch and can connect enough devices where you need them. It is rather unlikely that you need 2x 1000mbit in one room. Normally, multiple devices can share the connection.

PS: Even if you work while others are working, you can still have a good look after work at what people have done. Especially your argument that you build for eternity actually suggests that you look carefully at what has been done. That you only noticed the wrong cables after several months as a "branchen erfahrender" is quite a big fail on your part.
