Neighbors shocked by the building structure. Who has experienced this before?

As I said, I think the biggest problem is indeed the noise and dust nuisance. And such a construction doesn’t just last a few months, but they just have to get through it. As the other users say, just wait and stay friendly, there’s nothing more you can do.

For your neighbors, it is also stressful now. Construction noise and on top of that the unusual height, which they misjudged. I believe everyone will react somewhat reserved.

I would invite them to the [Topping-out ceremony] and take them to heart, then such a sense of neighborhood will very likely come back from them as well. Be patient, it will work out.

We are also currently in the process of buying a plot of land in a settlement that has existed for a very long time and are really curious about how the neighbors will react to the fact that this little patch of garden will simply no longer be a garden.

I could imagine that neighbors living by a multi-lane road and gas station/car repair shop might be tough and therefore not much should be expected from them... [emoji6]

You are mistaken, the BUNDESSTRASSE is only multi-lane there because of the turn lanes, otherwise it has moderate traffic.

The gas station is merely a fuel dispenser that is used only sporadically and the workshop has been closed for ages.

We already have the first neighbor who is now getting scared, even though there isn’t a house there yet. Given the amount of fill, she is now afraid that we will put a castle there and is already getting touchy, saying that she will closely monitor everything, including height and boundaries and the like. I’m curious to see how she will react when we place the 9m long garage right on the border to her garden, where she’s had an unobstructed view for the last 40 years.

But I understand her, with that picture you can definitely get scared!
