Just received an email with an improved PDF of the image from Thread #1 and a DXF file for which I probably need a CAD program.

And now?

Did it cost anything?

You can open dxf files online and with freeware. Just google it.

Well, I just can't do anything with it. I've tried 4 different CAD freeware programs (FreeCAD, SweetHome3D...etc.), but apart from a picture, I can't use any of them. I can't generate a building envelope with a 3m distance nor measure the distance. :-(

Can you determine the coordinates of your five boundary points? I have not worked with FreeCAD yet, but there should be something like snap to point, so that the boundary point coordinates can be captured exactly and the values can be read in the status bar. Maybe you can also display the exact coordinates of the start and end points via the properties of the boundary lines (I know this from AutoCAD). If you manage that, you could enter the east and north values here. If you do not want to be located, you should reduce the values by a fixed amount. Point 1: 397955.66, 5731598.11 -> 955.66, 598.11 Point 2: 398010.54, 5731591.92 -> 1010.54, 591.92
