I would not have MSP installed if it is not necessary. The end result is the same but money saved. For 500 years construction has been done without MSP, why should it suddenly be bad.

Our construction contractor said we needed one. Additional cost €1000. When the municipal utilities were there for the development and saw the thing, we were told that it would not have been necessary... Check with the municipal utilities, if they don't require one, save it, provided there is no problem with groundwater.

And in the Stone Age without it too!
Oh man, what a stupid statement.

It is not only about water but also, for example, about radon. In the DVGW VP 601 as well as DIN 18012 and DIN 18322 it is specified that these connections must be made water- and gas-tight and are certified. Do you have concrete confirmation from the supplier that you do not need an MSP? This is now rather unusual.

What reason is there to install a multi-duct house entry if the regular "non-MSP" house connection is installed professionally? Our provider didn't care but our municipality insisted.

Asked the other way around. Are there any disadvantages if you install an MSH?
