The costs depend on the dimensions and the material thickness, so it cannot be stated in general terms.

The claddings I have seen were all made of corten, so it must somehow work. I thought someone here had already done it because you see it very often nowadays.

I’ll probably have to look further and, if necessary, inquire at a locksmith, but they are usually reluctant to provide information if you don't purchase the material from them or have the work done by them, and the material costs me almost half online. Mind you, not cheap Chinese steel.

I would spontaneously vibrate the sheet metal accordingly deep (one third?) into the ground. Just like you do with sheet piles.

Corten must, to my knowledge, dry repeatedly so that the corrosion layer is stable. I would ask a locksmith. It would certainly also be possible to create an invisible, purely mechanical fastening. Tabs welded on the back and a rail in the wall. Like with the Ikea kitchen cabinets.

Incorporating it into the ground is unfortunately not possible, as the foundation of the wall is there. I had already had that idea. The idea with the tabs welded on the back would be an option, even though it is very complex at the same time. I thought there is an adhesive for that and it's done. I actually have to hope for information from a locksmith regarding implementation. Thanks for your input on the topic.

The sheet metal could also be bent and then attached to the bent-up rib.
