Mold Infestation Carport Karibu - Classic

Hello everyone,

We built a carport from Karibu almost a year ago. Everything went well. Unfortunately, we now have severe mold growth on two sides of the carport, and I would like to know what I can do now.

I never painted the carport because Karibu also says that pressure-impregnated wood does not need to be painted.
Can I sand it down, and if so, with what? After sanding, then paint the carport? With what?

I think you first have to find out why it is molding. Wood rots, but normally it does not mold if it rains on the carport wall occasionally. To be honest, I am surprised that a carport can mold at all, after all it is well ventilated...

So it only looks like that from the outside. On the other side, nothing of this "change" can be seen. Plenty of air gets through everywhere anyway.

The wood would move through the fire bowl with me, you don't want to sand that off with mold. And do the wall anew once.

I think I would try to make a complaint? I don’t believe that wood used outdoors, which was pretreated as indicated, should mold like that.

Is that mold? How does the wood need to be treated if I were to get something new?
