Our house has a granny flat. This was left by the last tenant, at that time the house did not belong to us yet, in a condition that is certainly not optimal.
Now we removed the baseboards there once and experienced a surprise right away. These were, we naively thought it was white paint and were already wondering who had made such a mess, sealed with silicone for some reason. That is very unusual, especially since the apartment then stood empty for almost a year and apparently was not ventilated and heated as we thought. In any case, there is mold under the baseboards.
We had it measured with a moisture meter and the value was 80 at least. At least visually there is nothing to see on the wallpaper.
We want to leave it open like this for four weeks with proper heating and ventilation. Then we wanted to use a mold remover. Can you recommend something, would you do it differently, any other tips? Thanks!
