I am just as much a fan of the TM as you are. And I fully share your opinion.
Even if in the present case of the OP it is *not* the device of choice (because it's completely like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut).

We do a lot with the TM-31. By the way: also fruit ice cream.

Of course, the device is never economically worthwhile at that price.

But: the device is fun, the results are excellent, the value retention is quite okay and you are allowed to buy something like that emotionally and simply enjoy it. I luckily bought it before building the house, afterwards: you have little to no budget for such gadgets.

Best regards
Thorsten

You see that wrong, Thorsten. It wouldn't be the device of choice because the TM simply doesn't have enough power or isn't designed for it. So not a cannon, but in this case a needle :-)
And as much as I love nostalgia, most of the "old blenders" mentioned here really don't fit the requirements ("mix nuts and seeds" into dust).

Don't be mad at me, but you have no idea.

Please tell me what the TM does not have enough power for. Or what it is not suitable/designed for.

That is true. I also already had the direct comparison between Thermomix and high-performance blender. There is a huge difference when it comes to the fineness of the result. They sometimes have more than twice the power and triple the speed.

If there are fibrous components, the TM does not get them fine enough. It also doesn't completely break down some skins, etc.

He simply doesn't have the power of a high-performance blender. When it comes to green smoothies at the latest, you have to make significant compromises.

Since I don't drink it... no idea. But the tests say otherwise (except for the volume).
