Ideally, you choose a cabinet that is a maximum of 120 cm high. Maybe you should show the floor plan of your bathroom with all fixed elements.

We have now decided to hang the bottom edge of the mirror cabinet at 135-140cm (we will decide the remaining 5cm spontaneously when hanging), that should still fit well for us.

We see ourselves standing at the washbasin with at least the bottom edge of the chest, rather the middle of the stomach, that should be sufficient in the bathroom.

So you think we can replace the handle on the Laufen Base base cabinets? Or should we look for an alternative cabinet, e.g. from Sanipa directly with black handles (but some are more expensive than the original Laufen).

Our mirrored cabinet hangs with the bottom edge at 1.40 meters. The optimal height for my wife and me (1.76 and 1.90 meters).

Yes, I think 1.40 will suit us well

Then we have about 20cm left to place things on the base

The handles of the Laufen Base base cabinets are detachable but, according to the manufacturer, can only be used with original handles

Do you think we can find replacement handles?

Sure, you first have to install a rootkit on the handles and then flash hacked firmware from the darknet. Then you can also screw them onto the cabinet.

I’m sometimes overly cautious and overthink things too, but you’re really making it complicated. As I said, you can also paint the original handles, preferably with spray paint. You can’t see it. My wife did that with lamps and door fittings (she also doesn’t like silver but prefers black or gold). It looks good. Sand and prime beforehand, then it will last a while and you don’t have to spray it again regularly.

Yes, you're right, I'm probably too overcautious

I can hardly imagine that I can manage this with a spray bottle in such a way that you can't see it, so completely without any trace

I just thought that the manufacturer makes a special custom size in thickness or hole spacing so that no other handles can be mounted and you always have to buy the original handles
