Minimum width for a 2-wing window/terrace door?

We like 2-leaf windows (without a mullion). They will probably be plastic windows. Do such windows already make sense at a width of 100 cm? Or are the leaves then too narrow and impractical? Same question for the terrace door: it will be 113 cm wide. Is it possible to have 2 leaves here or will everything be too narrow?

The terrace door will probably have to be double-leafed, as otherwise it is too heavy. In our case, this was true for anything over 1m.

Our patio doors are each 1.75 m wide. The bedroom windows on the upper floor are the same. These are, as you described, double-leaf without a mullion. All other windows and patio doors are "normal," as they are too narrow for two leaves.

That is certainly possible. We were recently in Denmark, where there were quite narrow sash windows with 2 panes, which didn't look so bad at all. But it has to be visually pleasing somewhere.

I once calculated that an open terrace door panel "creates" about 47 cm of passage width for us. People are often a bit lazy and do not always want to open both panels. Is 47 cm enough for a quick trip outside? It seems quite narrow to me. What do you think? Best regards, Steffi.

I meant, up to 1m width per wing is possible. 1.13 with one wing might be tight. But I have read the question again: At 1m, I don't know if it looks good; I certainly wouldn't use that for terrace doors. We have a two-wing window with 1.25m width, which still looks good
