Of course, it is not a defect. It is comparatively too warm at 36 degrees, we have to endure that for a week now. Most of the heat in the room comes through the windows. And when we briefly reach minus 20 in winter, we will also have to endure that.

As already said, this was about my 2-year-old daughter's room and I just want her to sleep well, I wasn't concerned about financial matters... whoever wants to believe that, fine by me.

Here in the solidly built old building with brick walls, it took a while for the building to heat up, but the last 3 nights were only bearable without a blanket. So it was certainly not less than 28. Without active cooling in summer or heating in winter, every house adapts to the environment. In some houses, it just takes a little longer. Insulation keeps the temperature in for a while, but a week at such temperatures... 28.6 already seems quite pleasant to me.

At my parents' 30-year-old KS terraced house without roller shutters but with internal shading, it is very pleasantly cool (that's where we fled to). They are also very careful that the door is only open briefly and that airing only takes place at night (unlike our apartment, the air is not even stuffy). Also, the warm air obediently rises into the attic... it's good that it's dark there because the windows are not overly abundant - but there's always something :D

I believe everything has already been said: 1. Lack is a very abstruse idea 2. Shade 3. Air at night 4. Convince children to play either inside OR outside 5. Next time, build in mass – although it doesn’t help if it’s hot for 2 weeks and points 1 to 4 are ignored, supported by enormous inertia and phase shift, but still. 6. Stop whining (otherwise everyone always complains that there is no summer) and, in the final consequence, do your part against climate change ;) (The airflow when cycling can be very pleasant)

I belong to the rare type of person who needs summer the least and also doesn’t complain when it’s rainy and cold.... therefore I allow myself to complain when it’s too hot ;) airing out in the morning and then keeping everything closed consistently is already quite good. A fan on the bed or in the living room also helps. And now I’m just looking forward to the thunderstorm :)

Hello, I hope my intermediate question is not disturbing.

How does it behave when running an air conditioner with a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery?
Is there a negative effect that the air-water heat pump then works against it?
