Marten in the roof insulation, what can I do???

Where do you actually release a marten afterwards? It hardly makes sense to release it just two streets away... Behind the border?

The trap manufacturer says at least 25 km away. Preferably in a forest?

In forums, someone said you should unload the marten on a disliked car dealer.

I am in favor of option 1.

Last night we gave the marten some light. A nice observation of how the marten then took the egg.

Such cute little animals and they cause so much havoc.

The problem is: martens are very attached to their territory. They always come back. Even the offspring want to visit their parental home again. That is why they return.

How cute. I actually believe that only a dog or maybe cats or a ferret can permanently drive the marten away here. It’s just too exhausting for him with you. Maybe also a [Grey parrot]. Those creatures are nasty.

I don't see any reason for the marten to run away from its AI enclosure or stay away from it. It's working out well for him - lots of proteins and fats :D
