Of course, it cannot be denied that an RCD should be checked for proper functioning monthly. Nobody does it, but it can have serious consequences in case of an accident if there is a fault in the RCD that could have been detected by the test.

I actually had such a defective RCD six months after moving in, which I found by pressing the test button. My electrician rubbed his eyes in disbelief – both about the fault and the fact that I had pressed the button. Of course, it was then replaced.

That one must also suspect other tricks from a general contractor who offers you a stairwell window with a guardrail height no longer permitted even in prisons doesn’t really surprise me ;-) Where did you actually get him from (and above all: have you ever asked him if he is a butcher)? *LOL* *SCNR*

Who pays the rent, if I may ask casually? I also consider the maintenance contract a foolish thing, yet it cannot be denied that, as a rule, the builder has to pay the rent…

I pay the rent. I wrote a polite email yesterday where I initially declined.
