Thank you very much for the great answers.

We do not need a home office. We both sit in the office for 9 hours a day, that is enough. A small computer corner is available in the hallway on the upper floor to set up a laptop or PC. At least that was how it was displayed in the show house and also realized on the plans in the first post in the gallery. That is more than enough for us. Everything else will be handled anyway with a laptop or tablet.

That’s exactly how it is for us! Our day “unfortunately” starts in the bathroom. Just like in some winter months, the day ends there in the cozy bathtub, for example. That way you can look outside and enjoy the beautiful view. Also, when you spend Sunday mornings in bed and have a nice view.

The “children” would look out onto the lawn and have a view of the shared courtyard of the former farmhouse. Our children's rooms were also oriented exactly there back then, and I always found it exciting to see who comes and goes and what kinds of cars drive along the street 100 meters away.

I think looking outside is somewhat overrated here. Who looks outside while bathing? You tend to close your eyes then, and even in bed, people rarely lie there looking out for more than a few seconds. I wouldn’t take that as a focus. Eventually, it gets boring.

I don’t think so: in winter, when the specific time span between finishing work and sunset drastically shortens, you cling to every bit of a view.

Is that still the case with children nowadays?

I can't imagine that.
