Unless something is meant to be knocked off, I do not consider it fraud either morally or legally. But who would give up their new receipt? That also means losing all warranty claims.
Hello,
Thank you for the reply.
I didn't know that there are sometimes price differences between the different Ikea branches.
I definitely have no intention of cheating or scamming anyone.
But since I'm being portrayed as a fraudster here, I'd rather leave the topic alone! (at least, that's how I feel)
I will now sell the display cabinet on eBay, better than putting the money in the basement.

What you mean/think and what it is legally are two different things.
I have to say that I personally would also find it simply not correct if you proceed like that, even though I don’t consider you a fraudster (which, by the way, no one has claimed!).
Dear hunter and gatherer,
I did not portray you as a fraud or anything like that, but only tried to explain why IKEA is not obliged to take back goods without a receipt.
If you felt that way, I am sorry and I apologize for it.
