I am bringing this somewhat older thread back up again.

Since our construction project is about to start soon as well:
Who can recommend an independent construction supervisor in the western Münsterland area?

Best regards,
Sebastian

I have also browsed a bit on bvfs. But the results are somehow scarce. I was more relying on a personal recommendation based on positive experiences. Well, maybe it will still come. Regards, Sebastian

I also tried on the website. The expert search shows quite a few categories starting with "Bau". I tried a few with postal codes 33 or 44. I am shown experts from Berlin and other places that are farther away. So either the search is pretty bad or they don’t have a good selection of experts in the construction industry. If I only enter "Bau" as the subject area, I get a few better results, but then for example monument preservation, roofer, but no construction expert. Ultimately, you could call there directly, maybe that works better than the search, perhaps it is just outdated. Alternatively, I have already found something at the Bauherren-Schutzbund, the experts there uniformly cost €85/hour nationwide. You can also get non-binding information by phone in an initial conversation about the procedure and expenses there. However, I also want to contact TÜV and Dekra again to find out how it is with them.

My search was similar. In the postal code area 44 or 48, there was nothing to find. But as you already said, there's also the good old telephone.

Now I am just looking over the pages of Dekra and TÜV.

I notice that the construction company we have been in contact with so far is having itself inspected by TÜV.
What do you make of that? Can that replace the construction supervisor I am hiring as the client? After all, the client in this case is the construction company, even if they pass the costs on to me as the client.

Regards, Sebastian

I have also been in talks with such a company before. On the one hand, this is their attempt to gain more trust through external inspections while still offering everything from a single source. One should assume a fundamental independence from TÜV. On the other hand, the company probably knows the gentleman from TÜV, and they are on a first-name basis. If the guy does his job properly, he remains objective (at least in theory). Ultimately, I think it also depends on the person themselves. From a gut feeling, I would not consider another expert necessary. However, I would still clarify the question of whether (if Kfw55 is desired) this TÜV is eligible for subsidies.
