Hello friends,

in the master bedroom, I have a cable sticking out of the wall on both the left and right side next to the planned bed position for reading lamps (without a device box, directly from the wall). Now it is so that because of a crib, we want to position everything differently and do not want to install the planned lamps or they do not fit.

Do you have any idea what kind of box I can put over them so that no child can reach the cables and it still looks reasonably nice? Maybe I am just missing the technical term, but I only ever find those gray plastic pieces that at best can be tolerated visually in the basement. How can I hide the cables well and safely?

Thank you,
Tassimat

There are Surface-mounted frames from Gira System 55. Everything suitable from Gira fits inside.

You can also close it with a blank cover. Or of course with a suitable socket with child protection.

Thank you. Something more compact would be nice. Is that available?

There are separate product lines in the common hardware stores. They often also have an exhibition. Just take a look there. You can find the "big ones" online.

well, if you want to become compact, you will probably have to cut some of the cable off because otherwise you likely won't be able to store it in the box. Do you want that? You won't be as flexible later on...

Cutting off is okay. There are still about 20 cm or so left. It can be done very briefly if desired.
