Hi Katja ....I think that's really cool :) !!!

about the windows

Bathroom:
However, I would do without the bathroom window and instead plan a skylight on the west side, the window on the north side would, I think, look strange from the outside.

Storage room:
- also a skylight on the east side

Sleeping area/living area:
- possibly 3 skylights with a light strip on the west side?
- the window on the south side with you is different, right?
- is it a small kitchen :) ? (sorry, I'm a layman :))

Thank you very much !!!!

Isn't the bathroom window aligned with the front door? Unfortunately, I don't have the other floors in mind. Did I perhaps twist the roof slopes? No, right? The staircase is by the gable, correct? This looks a bit odd now because it's just the roof. Also, the windows have the wrong pitch. But I hope it’s still clear:

But you can decide for yourself which windows you put in there. These ones are floor-to-ceiling to allow maximum light in.

Yes, there is a kitchen unit on the wall that goes around the corner with an extremely deep countertop because of the slope. But that was just quickly drawn in. I would think of the rooms in that direction though. So one large room, one bathroom, the storage space, and box off the rest.

Regarding the bathroom window: actually, everything fits, but the light strips align and there would be a lonely bathroom window at the top :).....like a pimple :)?! Hope you can follow me :)

Quick question: Can I still say during the construction phase that the gable window should have a different shape?

Best regards

Oh, I see. Your windows in the hallway are on the other side. That's really a shame if you don't have a window on the bathroom side in the gable. I would have even made it floor-to-ceiling. But the view is important too. However, this can only be planned together with all levels - either your architect makes some adjustments or you just have to use double casement windows. Once you have started, the windows and their shape should be fixed. They are custom ordered after all.

Regarding the bathroom window: I think you could live well with a double casement window there, maybe a larger one also with a light strip, that would surely be brighter too (because of the west side??)……I really like the north side so far.

Regarding the "starting," I only meant whether the "building authority" might say something about it, or if they’re not interested? It might interest the structural engineer? (he’s a good friend of mine :-))

What do you mean by [Lichtband] in the bathroom? If the north side stays as it is, only double casement windows are possible.

The window shape hardly interests the building authority. They would probably just look weird if you suddenly had a completely different view, I think.
