Hello,

I am currently comparing offers from several banks, and due to the current corona crisis, many banks are drastically changing their credit policies. For example, one bank now values the property at a lower price and is therefore not willing to finance (two weeks ago they were willing to grant the loan). In this scenario, my strategy is as follows:
I will contact several banks through different brokers (with similar conditions) and ask them to submit the loan application. Of course, I have to give permission to check my [Schufa]. If I contact only one bank, it can take several days for them to carry out the credit check and respond negatively. By that time, the conditions might have worsened. For this reason, I approach several banks in parallel.

My question is: Is this a good strategy?
Are there negative consequences? For example, from multiple entries in my [Schufa] credit inquiry.

Thank you in advance,
Andrea

Hello, the Schufa must not negatively affect your score.

But if a bank suddenly gives a poor appraisal of your property, what has happened?

Would you like to guide us through the financing?

In the Schufa you can already see that several banks have looked in. But as HilfeHilfe wrote, it must not negatively affect your score.

Formally no, but if I see as a caseworker that someone is going door-to-door, the motivation for the best possible result decreases.

Completely unnecessary imho. One broker, or simply e.g. Interhyp/Dr. Klein can simply tell you what you get without unnecessary hassle.

I was once informed by a bank "back then" that while inquiries do not affect the score, banks can see the inquiries among each other. There is no need for a calculated score to draw conclusions from them. The actual inquiry is therefore only initiated when things get serious. Conditions are already known beforehand.
