Yes, we also struggled with the floor plan for a long time and ultimately planned from the inside out. Indeed, the open-plan living area is brilliantly laid out in practice. Kitchen close to the terrace, generous passageways...

Regarding the decoration: This is the compromise with my wife; she gets to let loose here because I prevailed on many other things

The floor plan is not completely final, but the changes are marginal. For example, the fireplace is positioned more towards the dining room

Of course, the selected lighting points are sufficient. It's always a question of what you want. Here’s an off-the-cuff suggestion: Molto Luce Gator SDI as wall lights - glare-free and yet brightening the room Moooi Perch Light Branch over the dining table - delightfully homely 2 pcs. Tobias Grau Salt & Pepper as portable accent or reading lamps with a standard spot by the TV - with dim to warm a true cozy lighting miracle! Artemide Ilio as a floor lamp by the coffee table - playful and clear at the same time and yet powerful No lamp over the coffee table

exactly like this we also have our living space, top arrangement personally, I don't like this type of lighting though (like the lighting under the board), it always looks like a teenager's room.

The number of light sources of the OP would be completely sufficient for me.

And could you also tell me the name of your hanging lamp above the coffee table? Because I'm still a bit puzzled about that at our place.

Thank you ivenh0! I had almost suspected as much. I had saved them myself, but always feared that they would be too big for the coffee table. But they only look truly nice in a group of three. But seeing it from you like this, I'll take the risk and order them.
