Hello,

in the new build condominium, one can still relatively freely plan the plaster and wall color.

On the internet, you always read that lime plaster and lime paint are more ecological. However, since the developer wants the value of a new car according to the offer for it, of course I am wondering whether that makes sense.

The problem is: It is a new building. Energy Saving Ordinance 2014 with heat recovery. Unfortunately, we are slightly predisposed to airborne mold... including a change of scenery. Our current apartment is a renovated old building from the 60s. Despite multiple ventilations, there is an external spot on the wall in our previous apartment where cold/water always collects. Just like on the window edge. Since cooking, showering, washing, and drying laundry will also be done in the new apartment, we are naturally afraid that there will be too much water in the air and that mold will accumulate there with normal plaster as well...

So what to do? Use normal plaster and just put lime paint over it. Hope the heat recovery system transports away all the moisture?

The bathroom will be tiled up to the ceiling. The ceiling would be textured wallpaper or painter’s fleece with lime paint.

Please help. Thank you

He probably means a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery (controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery).

With a controlled residential ventilation system, simple gypsum plaster is sufficient when it only concerns the issue of mold growth/humidity.

Yes. It is a PLUGGIT ok. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything about that so far. At the moment, I can only say that after showering/cooking/washing we reach 70-90% humidity. As said, the whole thing is a new building with insulation and triple glazing.

Regarding the actual topic of plaster/paint, unfortunately I cannot help further. However, I advise using a ventilation system with enthalpy. The system you linked does not have that. If possible, take another look at it...
