Hello everyone,
so I will definitely reduce the spots. However, the spots are not meant to create ambiance, but general lighting. Unobtrusively across the ceiling. In the living room, I have now reduced to 8-9 spots next to the kitchen. Since the spots have a 110° beam angle and diffuse glass, it doesn't look like the halogen spots at my parents' house.
I have already ordered a set for testing purposes and these can also be dimmed in 3 stages without an in-wall dimmer. One lamp costs about 20 EUR (Paulmann 934.85). Matte white, good quality, low cavity installation height. I really like these.
For ambiance / reading light, floor / pendant lamps are to be used. Wall lamps unfortunately don't please my wife, so they are completely out (only outdoors). So a floor lamp by the sofa, a small table lamp in the bay window or at Christmas a string of lights, supplemented via a switchable socket. Above the dining table 3 pendant lamps and the same again as work lights above the kitchen counter.
What I have stuck to now is at least 300 lm/m² in the bathroom / kitchen and 100 lm/m² in the living area. This way I will also reduce to 2 lights in the bedroom. In the children's room 3 spots, the one above the bed will be removed.
Two-way switches via pushbuttons are used almost everywhere, also at the bedside tables.
I will upload the updated plans tomorrow.
What do you think about the 100 lm/m²? If I stick to that, the spot orgy should be kept within limits?
Thanks and best regards.
How are you building, will you install the spots yourself? I always had about 150 euros per spot in mind with the general contractor for concrete ceilings, it's not just the lamp itself.
