When do you need this lighting in the living room?

No idea, I find it hard to estimate, it just shouldn't be too dark, so the basic lighting. That's why I followed the guideline of 100 lm/m² for basic lighting in living areas.

Do you still think that's too much?

I ask you, when do you plan to turn on this lighting?

Ah, sorry, now I understand. For example, at this time of year in the morning or in the evening when the children are playing or, for example, the dining table is being set. If you watch TV or want it cozier in the evening, then the lighting is dimmed or turned off. For that, ambient LED light strips are supposed to be on the purlin, which illuminate the beams. I understand what you mean, that makes me think. When do I really need how much lighting...hmm. My fear is planning it wrong because everything has to be installed in the beams or wooden boards!

For the kitchen area, the spots should be positioned so that they shine onto the work surface. I would therefore place them a bit more above the work surface in your plan. You usually stand in front of it and often lean forward a bit, which quickly casts shadows.

LED on the [Pfette]? Well.. I am a big fan of floor lamps, table lamps, pendant lights over tables, etc.

LED strips are to be installed on the lowest purlin in an angled aluminum profile with a diffuser cover, running along both sides of the room. I have seen this on Pinterest before and want to use it to highlight the beam ceiling and create indirect ambient lighting.

This is meant to be used, for example, when watching TV or when you are on the terrace and go inside the house to get something from the kitchen. Then you have a nicely highlighted ceiling!

That’s somehow how I imagine it.
