Assuming you would place the threshold on the parquet - which, due to the shape of the threshold, rather creates a tripping hazard - you would still seal the parquet and the threshold with silicone. So it probably looks pretty much the same.

I just thought you would have a nicer transition, without a silicone joint, if you set the door "onto" the parquet.

With the door threshold quasi as a cover rail on the covering transition?
