We are not living together yet.
It's your decision, of course, but don't you think it's a bit "risky" to build together when you haven't even lived together yet?
120 sqm is more than enough... my parents also have only a 120 sqm house and it is absolutely sufficient. I also don't want a bigger one myself. Bigger means more expensive, higher energy costs, and it's too big when you're old. I consider 120 sqm perfect.
As I said, it depends on the family planning and whether you build with or without a basement...
Do your parents currently have a basement? How many people live in the house?
Without a basement, you need basement-replacement rooms for heating, connections, technology, storage, washing machine, etc... these are then deducted from the 120 sqm right away..
If you only want one children's room, that's okay... if you want two children's rooms and a study, it gets tight...
