But then you might as well call every profession a bum. You just don't do that in public.

PS: I am not a real estate financial advisor/seller/broker/whatever...

Did I do that? No...

As I said, you always take it very personally. And I know that you don’t belong to any of the groups mentioned above - therefore I understand your sensitivity in this regard even less.

I also belong to the financial association, but still remain objective ;)

Yeah, that was one with me - absolutely. And I only related that to my experience - or did I generalize?

Again: Calm down and don’t try to be the defender of an entire profession. It’s slowly spreading more and more...

You are slowly getting on my nerves. Your sensational behavior (in various topics) has caught my attention several times already.

I am not defending any profession here and I am not the avenger of the disinherited. That there are unscrupulous people (or companies) is beyond question. Likewise, that there are business models designed for profit (are there any that are not?). Ok, I call it designed for profit maximization...

And you also know that I warn against these models when I recognize signs of them here.

From someone who feels affiliated (to whom, actually?), I would have expected a somewhat more professional formulation.

Your response up there was simply abysmal and, if you had been objective, could have been formulated differently. With you it reads like... the agent (neutral) had his colleague (stupid, unscrupulous) "check" (irony)... the rest is written factually again. You sometimes lapse into behavior where I no longer wonder why the Bild newspaper writes things the way it does. And yes, I do read the Bild.

I simply can't hear this banks-bankster bashing anymore.

In many parts of this forum I do agree with you, but your style is sometimes just inappropriate.

I am not at all in favor of banker-bashing - because it is usually stupid, unobjective, and mostly happens out of frustration.

I spoke from my personal experience - no judgment or condemnation of all advisors. I have said that several times now...

My way of writing can sometimes be called cheeky - I stand by that. You can, if you want, interpret something tendentious in it - but you don't have to.

By the way, I read the Bild every day - only if you know all sides can you judge ;)

But now we are quite off-topic, however, maybe to understand why I thought the real estate advisor was a jerk: He tore apart the cost estimate from my architect, i.e. according to him, it was too expensive. Again: It was an estimate. There were also horror stories about clients who, after an architect-built house, ended up in the asylum...

And then he gave me two addresses of turnkey construction companies where I should go - you can build cheap there.

Oh, he didn’t really know or dismissed a financing option through the professional... only wanted to do 10 years fixed.

The man has been working there for over 20 years and that shocked me a lot. The incident was reported to the Sparkasse, feedback is pending...

So our first choice was unfortunately out.

So, that was totally off-topic - I think our opinions are not that far apart, but we have different ways of expressing ourselves due to our professions ;)

Have a nice Sunday.
