Hello dear forum,
We have a very challenging plot because we have to place the access road in the north through a 20-meter-wide forest protection strip, and it is only allowed to be 3 meters wide. Everything else is not permitted. This means we either have to plan a turning area within the building window or reverse out the 20 meters. Two parking spaces are also required. We received two variants, one of which includes a double carport in front of the house (the west side remains free) and one next to the house on the west side.
The first has the advantage that all living rooms and children’s rooms are oriented to the southwest or west, but a neighbor is already building 5 meters away and behind that is a 20-meter-high forest. Also, the south garden is smaller.
The second variant with the carport next to the house has the "disadvantage" that the living room has to face southeast and the children’s rooms would also be located in the east (floor-to-ceiling windows). The reason is simply that no floor-to-ceiling windows are possible towards the carport and therefore the floor plan would have to be mirrored. The advantage of this variant is the large south garden. However, you have to accept evening shading of the terrace caused by the carport located in the west.
I have attached both variants and look forward to feedback. North is at the top, south at the bottom.
Best regards
Sven
