Kombiofen for barrel sauna and additional roof covering wanted

Thanks for the info, I think I'll rather go for a 9KW because 1 hour is too long for spontaneous sauna sessions. The electrician has to come anyway and install a switch (power is taken off the Wallbox cable...). I have already spoken with him as he has a lead time of 2-3 weeks.

Inside, benches etc. are already included, also made of [Rotzeder]. But you’re right, I can’t just use something else there.

I’m currently thinking about a nice metal roof (barrel roof)? At least so that the upper half is covered. But maybe just later if I realize it’s necessary...

I have found the invoice, HARVIA HL90S, 9kW, you won’t be able to heat up much faster than an hour, it’s not an infrared cabin. We turn it on, go for a walk, and when we come back, everything is heated up.

I think a barrel roof would be a good idea. Otherwise - if a proper roof is important to you - why not a log cabin?

Hi, a log cabin would also seem too large for my small plot, especially at the intended (and only possible) spot.
I'll place the sauna first and see if further measures are necessary. Maybe it's tight enough and already looks "fitting" visually.
I know barrel roofs in aluminum construction, I seem to remember that was quite an expensive matter :-(

I am a bit late, but I doubt that the sauna will stay watertight longer without an additional roof in rain and snow. A wine barrel is only watertight if it is always filled and not standing in the rain, and certainly not sideways. A sheet metal roof can be made by any roofer in any material, but it won't be cheap. You can put flat roofing foil on it if bitumen shingles are not desired. This foil is grey.
