Once again, your opinion is requested. Due to the size of the floor plan and the existing bay window, we can build a knee wall of up to 87 cm at most. To get more, we would have to enlarge the house. What knee wall height do you have? Is 87 cm manageable? We are tall people, 176 and 198 cm. The children probably won't stay small either. Your opinion is requested. Thank you Xinette

I would argue that it depends on the angle the roof will have and how much space is otherwise available in the rooms with [Kniestock]. You should have a 2-meter line on the plan where you can see up to where you can stand in the room and where not.

It depends on where the 87cm is measured. Is it outside or inside after the finished floor level? We have an exterior knee wall of 150cm with a 36cm wall and therefore an interior knee wall of 165cm with a 42-degree roof. In principle, I would prefer a minimum knee wall height of at least 100cm (inside). Even better is 120cm, so that you can really still put something there. If you have a low knee wall, then a steeper roof (42 degrees +) is recommended.

It is stated in the construction description. We need to inquire about that in more detail. Due to the bay window, we fall into the two-story category and therefore we are not allowed to go higher.

Roof pitch flatter -> higher knee wall possible
Add conservatory -> higher knee wall possible
Make house narrower -> higher knee wall possible
There are already things that can be done (certainly not always everything possible or sensible).

Inside we have a knee wall height of 189cm with a roof pitch of 20* and I think it's great (I am 1.92). 150cm at 30* I also find still comfortable but significantly less of course involves more compromises. In the end, it's a matter of taste and a question of furnishing.
