I can fully agree with this for us as well.

The best decision is to mount the sink under the countertop to have a smooth surface without raised edges.

If water is standing on the slab, it can simply be wiped in.

I think that only works with granite and ceramic slabs and not with conventional countertops!

I would also like the sink to be under the countertop, but we are not getting a stone countertop.

We have and will get a sink with 1 large basin and 1 small one and this draining area - 1-2 pans can be stood upright in the small basin. And of course in stainless steel, scratches and such do not bother us, that's just part of it. I would have preferred those new synthetic ceramic things even more, because they come in so many great colors - but my husband says that, for example, you can scratch them with ceramic plates and you can't get the scratches out anymore.

So, do scratches bother you or not?

In a STAINLESS STEEL sink they don't bother, since they belong there. but in these plastic ceramic sinks, where scratches might even have a different color, yes, they do bother. That's why we have and stick with stainless steel.

do you have a Silgranit sink? We have always had stainless steel, no scratches or anything negative. For aesthetic reasons, we want to choose Silgranit for the new kitchen. One kitchen fitter said you can clean it properly, another said because of the impregnated surface you should be careful when cleaning. Which one is correct? This might also be interesting for . The selection of "draining rack and vegetable basin" depends on your own needs. For example, we don’t need a vegetable basin, but we would never do without a draining rack. Many kitchen studios say instead of a draining rack you can use dish towels on the countertop and then put the pots on them, but in my opinion that looks untidy.
