I just don't see any advantage in timber framing... whether I have a solid construction built in 10 months or wait 12 months for the production of a wooden house is ultimately the same - and probably almost identical in price

Both types of construction have their justification. When it comes to insulation at the KfW40 standard, it's definitely much easier and more cost-effective with a timber frame house.
