I think he means a timber frame house. It's not uncommon to veneer the facade in that case. But maybe really consider exchanging the expensive clinker for a proper ventilation system.
Cladding a timber frame house? That is the dark side of the force
If a new building corresponds to KFW 100, something has gone very wrong. That really hardly exists anymore.
Ventilation system? A nice controversial topic - if you ask me, it is about as necessary and useful as the electric parking brake and the rain sensor in my car.
I will probably really have to use a ventilation system, although I am not convinced of it. I just find the air a bit artificial and like the old-fashioned way of airing out. The question is whether a kfw70 house is already so airtight that mechanical ventilation once or twice a day is no longer sufficient.
And yes, by wooden house I mean a house with a timber frame construction, I expressed myself a bit incorrectly there.

hmm... but then you should compare apples to apples... do you always open the windows in your car, or do you sometimes turn the ventilation on?

hmm yes, if it becomes a defect-free KfW-70 house, then the "old-fashioned" airing out is definitely not enough... but you can still do it alongside the ventilation system if it reassures you...
