Yes, the reveal depth is more intended as a panel/privacy screen behind which the trash bins are located to the right of the driveway and to the left of the driveway there is still a niche for various items and space for the stroller. Tomtom already recognized that correctly, the corner there was also planned as an area for bicycles... I mean to say that this depth was not structurally necessary for stability. however, we also wanted to create a bit more depth with mitered strips. Attached is a sketch of how I drew it to the carpenter back then dimensions are no longer quite correct...

Correct, for example, the bicycle rack hangs above the garbage cans... So everything that can be properly stored outside but does not necessarily have to be seen from everywhere....

You are probably right. I'm sitting at the CAD and also diligently "drawing" right now. Can you tell me how high/wide your purlins are at the span? and also the cross beams? How did you build the roof? With an Alvitra or a pond liner?
