Is the schedule for construction in winter realistic?

Dear Even if talks to you according to your (and all of our beloved Schnauze) opinion, it doesn’t have to work. You wouldn’t ask if a punctual handover were regulated in your contract?! Therefore, your question is wishful thinking that the construction will be completed after 6 months. Bieber is truly starting theory here, but life looks different. And I write this from my own experience: as already said: handover after 7.5 months, of which 4 months lived with parents and in a holiday apartment. Theory and wishful thinking are something different from practice and reality. Regards

So the schedule is quite feasible. We started the ground work last week, and yesterday they began setting up the formwork for the floor slab. The forecast is: the shell construction will be completed and sealed before Christmas, so we won't be quite as dependent on the temperatures then. The move-in date is supposed to be end of April/beginning of May... ;) But we are also very curious if everything will work out.

Waiting.

With us, 7 months were planned and handover was only after 9.5 months plus 1 week downtime for the winter. So in the end almost 10 months.

I agree with Musketier. We moved in 5 months after the topping-out ceremony - but still on a construction site! And in my estimation, everything went really smoothly and quickly for us!

It will be a tight squeeze. Please keep us updated.

I will do that, so keep me updated. And Painkiller - your planning looks similar, so I am also curious to see how it will continue

Many things are doable, partly it's just a question of the resources used (many people can achieve a lot). Approaching it with the mindset that everything will go perfectly will cost you your nerves when something comes up.

We are at 50% of the shell construction (so we are quite a bit ahead of you) and yet I have serious doubts that our place will be weather-tight by Christmas. Great weather is forecasted for next week. The week after that only shows -3°C to +3°C in the forecast. After that, there are still about 2 weeks until Christmas, if the temperatures are right and no one gets sick.
