There are also apartments with a garden or shared garden use. To me, the huge costs of land + new construction simply wouldn't be worth it if the plots are so expensive that I can only afford something so small.

So. After years, we now have this plot in sight. Of course, we had completely different plots as favorites. They faced west, the plot was somewhat wider, and the garage was right on the street as usual.
We got this one though. In the foreseeable future, we won't get a building plot close to the city. Existing buildings from the 60s in this city area go for more than €500k, and then you still have to renovate. But for that, 500 sqm. And you have to get your hands on that first...
I like the idea of the shared driveway. Grass pavers are mandatory. At least if I had a say.
According to the building envelope I have, the garage or carport is mandatory on the north side.
But you can adjust development plans, right?

Don't be silly. There are always guidelines. And you can usually accept them. There's no need to get stubborn.
