Checking a payment plan for consistency is not part of it. So if the invoice is correct...

We actually didn't have to provide any proof to the VR Bank either. We also had an EC card for the construction account. We built in 2020 and recently had to send 5-6 pictures, that was it. We currently still have money sitting in the construction account. When asked what we should do with it, we were told it was up to us. We also didn't have to provide any more proof because the construction was completed...

But we also had an offer from another bank (I think it was ING), where every disbursement amount had to be documented with a corresponding "invoice".

Proving every stupid invoice can also be quite annoying. Especially when it’s coming to the end and a bunch of small invoices keep coming in.

That's how it is.. We also financed with ING and had to prove everything down to the last cent.

Good that we had equity and could advance payment. Because the payout after invoice submission always took 8-10 days due to "increased volume."

Has that been a while? We also ended up with ING and always have a kind of "free contingency" of 50k, from which we can freely withdraw whatever we want. The contingency is then replenished / increased when we upload the corresponding invoices. But with 50k we can already go quite far. Except for the installment when the shell is finished, we can settle almost every installment payment directly with it.

We also financed with ING. I always had to upload the invoice and could transfer the corresponding amount to my account in the same step. The invoice was only checked afterwards. I found it annoying that I first had to transfer the money to my account and then to the general contractor. I do not have such a high payment limit and it could not be temporarily increased at short notice, so I often had to pay the invoices in several partial amounts. That was last year.
